Interface / First Avenue two toned Carpet Tile

The recently completed $5.7 million CHK|Central Boathouse serves as home to the University of Central Oklahoma’s women’s rowing team. It also includes a live music venue and an art gallery, establishing it as a unique presence “where art and music meet the river” in the growing Boathouse District on the Oklahoma River.

The 18,000 sq. foot boathouse features a large dining and conference area that looks out from the foremost point of the structure along the river.

It was designed by Elliott + Associates Architects, along with the other boathouses along the river, all which outwardly resemble the shells of boats. Lingo Construction was the General Contractor.

Steven Bentley said the Boathouse District is a world class entertainment area that is fast becoming a popular destination for visitors and the entire OKC community.  Besides the water sports events, it provides a thrilling zip line across the river,  play ground area for kids, kayak rentals and a ropes course.

"We are thrilled to get to play a part in this and other projects along the Oklahoma River," Bentley said. "This area is such a great asset to our community!"

Bentley flooring installed the two-toned carpet tile from Interface in the offices and lounge and the Johnsonite rubber tile in the team room.
