Norman Public Schools is in the process of implementing a multi-phase, $126 million bond issue passed in 2014 to upgrade learning environments, enhance safety and provide additional instructional opportunities for its students. We recently installed the carpeting for Phase 2 of the Norman North High School Renovations, which were completed in the fall of 2016. They include:
- New College and Career Center with a new entry, offices and additional classrooms. The center will provide an environment where students can begin to learn in an atmosphere that is similar to college and work settings
- Renovated Learning Commons, which is a 21st-century library that will feature a collaborative learning environment, independent study areas, a coffee bar and more -
- Interior renovations include classroom and restroom renovations
- Student technology investments featuring a cutting edge media center with a "green screen" (Chroma key) room for filming and editing.
Phase 3 is now underway and will be complete in the Spring of 2017. More will be revealed!
