The new four-story, $32 million Norman Regional Moore healthcare facility was rebuilt after an EF-5 tornado destroyed the former hospital, Moore Medical Center, in 2013. It reopened May 2016.
Highlights of Bentley Flooring's work include the 1" x 1" glass tiled interior columns on the first and second floors, which add stately elegance to the support structures. In addition, our expert installers laid 1,500 sq. ft. of Patcraft Metalix LVT in a complex diagonal pattern throughout the hallways and waiting areas.
Bentley Flooring also installed 5,500 sq. ft. of the amazing new Kinetex "breatheable" peel and stick carpet tile from J & J Flooring. This textile composite performs in elevated RH slabs up to 95% by allowing moisture to pass through the backing rather than trap it underneath. Kinetex's method of vapor transmission allows it to be installed without costly moisture mitigation.
Another challenge was heat welding 8,500 sq. ft. of Forbo Marmoleum Sheet Flooring. Heat welding provides a watertight and hygenic seam and allows an artistic touch. Forbo's sheet flooring is certified sustainable flooring, easy to clean and made from renewable, natural ingredients. It is ideal for people with allergies and respiratory disorders and also features naturally antistatic and antimicrobial qualities, making it a great choice for healthcare facilities.
The new Norman Regional Moore offers a variety of services including:
- A 24/7 Emergency Department that includes a fast track area for minor illness and injuries
- Physical Therapy services
- Diagnostic Imaging including MRI, CT, Ultrasound and X-ray
- Laboratory Services
- Physician offices including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, OBGYN, Cardiology
- Conference space that doubles as a safe area for patients and staff
Bentley Flooring values the opportunity to use our experience and product knowledge to help create excellent, safe and sustainable healthcare facilities like Norman Regional Moore.
