St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital in Shawnee, OK, recently completed its 3-story West Tower, a spectacular $58 million, 119 sq. ft. addition to the hospital's existing facility.   The first floor of the new facility houses the new surgery center, and the second floor is for labor and delivery.  The third floor provides 16 intensive care rooms, with nursing, patient, and family area in each room, as well as waiting room space providing a view of overlooking the surrounding area.

The spacious lower level foyer welcomes visitors with one of the large natural stone veneer feature walls installed by Bentley Flooring's expert craftsmen.  The foyer also serves as an event center and includes a unique, glass waterfall and memorial plaque donated by the friends and family of Dick Shelton of Ada.

One of the high-tech flooring features used in the halls and patient rooms is Teknofloor, a seamless resilient vinyl sheet flooring with a non-skid surface for patient safety.  Linda Brown, VP of Support Services, said the flooring also is more resilient and durable than tile or wood,  and its easier on the feet of the nurses and staff who walk endless miles a day on it. "I love that it is so easy to maintain --just wet mop and no wax or buffing!"   Teknofloor's unique anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and non-slip properties make it especially ideal for a healthcare, assisted living, laboratory, or hospital setting.
